Frank A. Summers, age 89 of Springfield, passed away Wednesday evening, November 18, 2015, at his residence. Frank was born, June 5, 1926 in Carlinville, Illinois, a son of Frank W. and Annabelle (Franklin) Summers. Frank graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1946. Frank proudly served in the Army during WW II. He married Doris "Nikki" Leefers, on May 17, 1947 at the St. Paul's United Church of Christ parsonage in Carlinville, IL. Frank retired from Fiat Allis in Springfield in 1986. Frank was a member of the West Side Christian Church and St. Paul's Masonic Lodge #500 in Springfield. He loved to read and travel. Services will be held at a later date. Frank is survived by his wife Doris "Nikki" Summers, sons; Curt (Cindy) Summers of Green Valley, AZ. Kevan (Diane) Summers of Hamel, IL Frank S. Summers of Springfield, IL. daughter Nikki (Michael) Neal of Springfield, IL 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 great grandson and sister Shirley Donelson of Mesa, AZ.
