J. Bruce Eldred, age 62, of Carlinville, passed away Wednesday morning, August 26, 2015, at Heritage Manor in Carlinville, IL.
Bruce was born August 22, 1953, in Carrollton,Illinois, IL, a son of John O. and Marjorie (Gibbs) Eldred.
Bruce was a member of Carlinville Moose Lodge 1216. He was an avid gardener and loved woodworking. He worked as a carpenter in the Carlinville area most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his father, John O. Eldred.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville with a memorial service following at 7:30 at the funeral home.
Bruce is survived by his mother, Marjorie Hunt of Carlinville, IL, sisters, Valerie (Robert) Quarton of Palmyra, IL and Janell (Jim) Ramey of Carlinville, IL, brothers, John (Ellen) Eldred of Carlinville, IL, and Jeff (Margie) Eldred of Florida, several nieces and nephews.
