Gary W. Barnes 68, of Girard, passed away on January 3, 2012 in Weslaco, Texas.
He was born on June 7, 1943 to James and Neva (Ronk) Barnes in Carlinville, Illinois. He graduated from Girard High School with the class of 1961. Gary worked as a District Manager for MooreMann's Manufacture. On November 30, 1963 he married Becky Sue Collins at the Methodist Church in Girard, Illinois.
Gary loved golfing, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
Gary is survived by his loving spouse of 48 years, Becky, daughter - Shelley Crocks (husband, John); 2 sons - Darren Barnes (wife, Michele), David Barnes (wife, Karla); 6 Grandchildren - Lauren Crocks, Torie Crocks, Aryn Barnes, Alex Barnes, Tanner Barnes, Jared Barnes; brother - Donald Barnes (wife, Marilyn), all of Girard, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Information
Visitation will be held Monday, January 9, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 10, at 10:30 am at the funeral home, with Rev. Scott Bayles, officiating.
Burial will take place in the West Cemetery in Thayer.
