Florence Miller

66, of Virden passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at Prairie Village Nursing Center in Jacksonville,IL. Florence was born August 21, 1945, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Harvey and Cattie (Grooms) Lutz. She married Howard A. Miller September 1, 1962, at the First Baptist Church in Girard where she was a member and he passed away March 23, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother, Edward Lutz, and granddaughter, Charlene Blackman.
Florence was a homemaker and loved to fish, play bingo and go for rides to the river.
Surviving are her son, Jesse (Laura) Miller of Virden, daughter, Barbara (Buddy Jr.) Blackman of Auburn, daughter, Alice Hutchinson of Lovelock, NV, son-in-law, Mike Hutchinson of Girard, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, brother, Robert Lee Watkins of Girard, brother, John M. (MaryLou) Lutz of Girard, sister, Mattie Nance of Lovelock, NV, sister, Ruby (Larry) Bake of Hettick, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Graveside Services will be held 11:00 am, Monday, January 30, 2012, at the Girard Cemetery. Burial will be in Girard Cemetery next to her husband.
