85, of Farmersville, passed away, Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Carlinville Area Hospital.

He was born Wednesday, March 4, 1925 in Raymond, IL, the son of Kenton and Margaret (Seelbach) Watson. Marion married Suzanne (Smith) in Farmersville, IL on November 29, 1947.

Marion was a retired from farming. He was employed by the Panhandle School District, Bois D'Arc Township, the Village of Farmersville and various implement dealerships. He had held the position of Fire Chief for the Farmersville-Waggoner Fire Department and was a past Boy Scout leader.
Survivors: Wife, Suzanne Watson of Farmersville, IL, Daughter, Barbara Pope of Waggoner, IL, Daughter, Mary (George ) Hobson of Farmersville, IL, Daughter, Maggie (Bob) Rovey of Farmersville, IL, Son, Joe (Bobbie) Watson of Divernon, IL, Son, Paul (Nicole) Watson of Waggoner, IL, Son, Michael (Barb) Watson of Mechanicsburg, PA, Son, John (Jodi) Watson of Farmersville, IL, Daughter, Patti (Allen) Wills of Farmersville, IL, Daughter, Monica (Bart) Robinette of Girard, IL, 22 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

He was preceded in death by parents, brother, William Kenneth Watson, sister, Rosemary Clardy, and brother-in-law, Rollie L. Pope.

Funeral Information

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Sunday, August 15 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard, IL.

Funeral service will be held at10:00 AM, Monday, August 16, 2010 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home.
Burial will be in St. Martin Cemetery in Farmersville,IL.
