Gladys Jardine, 97, of Carlinville, formerly of Crescent City and Gibson City, IL passed away Thursday morning, January 12, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, IL. Gladys was born on January 14, 1914 to John and Letitia (Ballinger) Kaiser in Milford, IN. She married Robert Erick Jardine on May 18, 1935 in Spencer, IN and he preceded her in death on December 14, 1991. Gladys was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, camping, gardening and flowers, as well as taking rides in the country. Gladys was also a former member of the United Brethren Church in Gibson City. Gladys is survived by her daughter, Margy J. Curtis (John) of Carlinville; sister-in-law Rita Jardine of Saunemin, IL; 6 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 9 step great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and 21 step great great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Letitia Kaiser; husband, Robert E. Jardine; son, Marvin Jardine; 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral InformationVisitation will be held Saturday, January 14, 2012 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville and on Monday, January 16, 2012 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Lamb-Young Funeral Home in Gibson City, IL. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 16, 2012, at 11:00 am at the Lamb-Young Funeral Home in Gibson City with Rev. John Curtis officiating.
