85, of Carlinville, died Wednesday morning, August 18, 2010 at Carlinville Area Hospital.

He was born Wednesday, April 8, 1925 in Carlinville, IL, the son of James Thomas and Cora Adelia( Brooks) Greenwalt.

Edgar married Pauline (Brockmiller) in Carlinville, IL on December 23, 1945.

Edgar was a self employeed truck driver for many years and retired in 1998. He enjoyed gardening.

Survivors: wife, Pauline of Carlinville, IL, son, Dennis E. Greenwalt of Pawnee, IL, son, Randy K Greenwalt (Lea) of Girard, IL, 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, sister, Edna Dugan of Carlinville, IL, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by son, Jeffrey in 1958, brothers, Everett and Otto Greenwalt, sisters, Lucille Stayton and Viola Grimmett.

Funeral Information

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday, August 20 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville, IL.

Private graveside service will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery.

Burial: Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery in Carlinville.
