Kathleen Hughs

78, of Carlinville passed away Monday evening, August 16, 2010 at Heritage Manor in Carlinville.

She was born Friday, April 1, 1932 in Martinstown, MO, the daughter of Roy and Katie (Buster) Mulanix.

Kathleen married Bill Hughs in Lucerne, MO on June 4, 1949 and he passed away, October 23, 1999.

Kathleen was a member of Memorial Christian Church, Carlinville Area Aux., American Legion Aux. and Macoupin County Historical Society. She was a devoted St. Louis Cardinal fan and a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Surviving are son, Roger Hughs (wife Janet) of Morton, IL, son, Richard Hughs of Springfield, IL, 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sister, Jenny Shultz of Unionville, MO, two nephews and four nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Marjorie McDonald.

Funeral Information

Visitation will be Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville.
Services will Friday, 11:00 AM at Davis-Anderson 206 Woodlawn Drive Carlinville, IL 62626.

Burial will be in the Mausoleum of Valor at Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery in Carlinville.
